Beer Suggest is a niche community for beer lovers. The goal of Beer Suggest is to provide the most informative beer site on the net. This is a quite a hefty task, which is why we look to you, the user to help build this website. After you have registered an account you will be able to fully enjoy the website and do any of the items listed below.

Tagging

Beer styles are helpful in describing a beer, but there are so many styles and sub-styles that it becomes difficult to accurately describe a beer just by it's style. This is where tagging comes into play. Tagging enables users to more accurately describe a beer. Adding tags helps other users know exactly what kind of beer they will be getting if they choose to try it. While a beer may be called an "Amber Ale", it may also be "hoppy", "expensive", "sweet", "fruity", etcetra. The more people that add the same tag, the larger the font will get for the tag, letting you see the mose popular tags for the beer. Tagging not only helps describe a beer, but also helps make searching for a beer that much easier. Clicking on a tag will give you a list of all other beers that have that same tag, hopefully helping you stumble upon an unknown beer that you may enjoy giving a try.

Beer Ratings

Rating a beer is as simple as clicking on the stars. You can rate a beer anywhere from .5 stars(highly discourage any human from drinking) to 5 stars(this should be on tap at home). Ratings help other users know which beers are good/popular. Rating beer also helps Beer Suggest reccomend new beers to you that you may enjoy.

Beer Reviews

For the more experienced beer drinker, you may also wish to give a detailed review of a beer. When reviewing a beer you will be asked to score it and give notes on the following categories: Appearance, Aroma, Mouthfeel, Taste, and Overall Appeal. Beer reviews is an even more helpful way to let people know what beer tastes like and if they will enjoy it.

Beer Suggest also functions as a wiki allowing you to add and edit beers and breweries. Have you searched for your favorite beer to review but couldn't find it? Stats

You will be able to view many detailed site statistics for beers and breweries on BeerSuggest. Some of these include: the top rated beers, top reviewed beers, and more. Each of these categories can be broken down in even greater detail by country and other filters.

As well as site statistics each user will have their own statistics. BeerSuggest will keep track of which beers you have added, which you have tried, all of your ratings, reviews and more.
