Description:
Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute .IPA., "perhaps the best I.P.A. in America." An Imperial I.P.A. brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal!

Appearance - 4.5
Pours 1 finger of off-white head into a chalice glass. The retention is pretty good and leaves some nice lacing. The beer is a copper/amber color.
Aroma - 5.0
The aroma is very apparent as it is poured. It has a sweet caramel malt, strong piny hops, citrus, grapefruit, and traces of alcohol. There's a whole lot going on in the aroma and it gets better as it warms.
Mouthfeel - 4.5
A medium bodied beer with good carbonation. It has somewhat of a sticky feel to it.
Taste - 5.0
With a completes smell comes a complex taste. The piny hops hit almost at once with a nice bitter flavor. They are then followed by the caramel malts. It finishes with some citrusy hops that leave a bitter taste. A great combination of ingredients that balance one another very well. It doesn't end quite as bitter as a lot of other imperial IPAs, but certainly does the job.
Overall - 5.0
A delicious complex imperial IPA. It hides the 9% abv extremely well with the loads of flavors, making it easy to drink. One of my favorites of this particular style. If you haven't tried this one you owe it to yourself, especially if you are a hops head.
