Rich, dark brown color; just the right amount of foam. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the brewery adds caramel coloring.
Aroma - 5.0
Beautiful.
Mouthfeel - 5.0
A nice amount of carbonation, great flow; exceptionally drinkable.
Taste - 5.0
Wonderful; nutty, true bock flavor with perfect aftertaste. Goes great with Tex-Mex, BBQ, just about anything!
Overall - 5.0
Brewed at the Spoetzl Brewery in the little town of Shiner, this is considered by most to be the best beer in Texas.

Golden brown pour. A weak head, a bit fizzy - evaporates quickly. Light lacing.
Aroma - 2.0
Very little aroma - slightly sweet, a hint of malt.
Mouthfeel - 3.0
Crisp but average, a rather pedestrian mouthfeel. It's fine, but one would expect a Texas beer, particularly one styled as a Bock, to have something more impressive going on.
Taste - 4.0
Pretty good. Better than you might expect. Balanced, drinkable, light malty sweetness, a little metallic in finish.
Overall - 3.0
It's not a Bock, frankly - it's more of a brown ale. But a good brown ale, a solid substitute for a macro beer. I've had it frequently, on tap and from a bottle. Shiner Bock is that girlfriend you had in sophomore year - it isn't going to impress you, but it's inexpensive, perfectly fine for a party, and there's nothing really wrong with it that you can remember after. It's just there, solid and unassuming, a good complement to Tex-Mex or some spicy dish.

A light roasted malt aroma.

A light somewhat carbonated feel adding some fill to it.

malty with a slight bitterness.

A good beer that isn't to filling, followed with a good price.
