Description:
Wailua is Hawaiian for two fresh water streams mingling. This was just the inspiration we needed for our Limited Release wheat ale brewed with tropical passion Fruit. A refreshing citrusy, sun-colored ale with the cool taste of Hawaii.

The smell is something I ignore as it reminds me of a bathroom where someone took a piss and didn't flush. The overall flavour itself though if all right though.

Appearance - 3.5
A lightly cloudy looking almost bright yellow with a thin white head.
Aroma - 2.0
The very light semi-sweet smell mixed in with the smell of the wheat ale doesn't really work well together.
Mouthfeel - 3.0
A semi-thick feeling in the mouth. Not quite filling feeling but definitely noticeable and almost syrupy.
Taste - 2.5
The passion fruit is definitely noticeable yet the entire flavour seems light. The wheat and the passion fruit make an almost grapefruit bitter taste but the bitterness doesn't linger long.
Overall - 3.0
Not all that bad if you don't mind grapefruit juice.

Appearance - 3.0
Pours 2 fingers of white head that has an ok retention and leaves some spider lacing. The beer is a hazy golden orange color.
Aroma - 3.0
Wheat malts and passion fruits as described on the label dominate the aroma.
Mouthfeel - 3.0
A light bodied beer with a wet feeling to it and moderate carbonation.
Taste - 3.0
Wheat malts and slight spiceness in the beginning, followed by orange and ending with a nice mix of passion fruits.
Overall - 3.5
A nice combination of a wheat beer and passion fruits. It's not too “fruity” tasting giving a pretty good drinkability.
