Appearance - 3.5
Pours a very dark amber with one finger of head. The head disappears pretty quickly leaving minimal lacing. It is see-through but is very dark for a pale ale, despite this it looks inviting.
Aroma - 3.0
Didn't get much from the aroma, a tart smell and some malts.
Mouthfeel - 3.5
A light-medium bodied beer with good carbonation. It has a smooth crisp feeling to it.
Taste - 3.0
Not a whole lot going on in the taste department. It tastes like it smells with some malts up front followed by a tart taste.
Overall - 3.0
Not bad, nothing overly complex, sometimes simple is good. It reminds me a lot of Bass Pale Ale. If you are ever in Harrisburg, PA give it a try. As far as I am aware this beer in only available at the restaurant/bar at the Mount Hill Tavern. The general manager worked with Otto's to create it.
