Pours 2 fingers of head. The head looks like a chocolate milk shake from the top. The head is very creamy and dark tan in color. It has a nice retention and laces well. The beer is a very dark brown, may as well be black.
Aroma - 4.5
Has a nice sweet aroma. There a nice chocolate smell along with some roasted malts. Can also make out some crystal malt.
Mouthfeel - 5.0
Full in body with low carbonation. Silky smooth mouth feel with a creamy finish. Slightly syrupy. Absolutely perfect.
Taste - 4.5
Starts off with the crystal malt and chocolate. It then fades into the coffee and roasted malts. There's an underlying sweet/tart flavor that runs through the entire taste but becomes more prominent in the finish. Reminds me of a red wine in the finish.
Overall - 5.0
A fantastic imperial stout. Has some nice coffee flavor and hides it's alcohol extremely well. I'd love to try the various barrel aged versions.

As black and thick as you could take it. Like a Guinness, but with a more CO2 head (yellowy, and fuzzier rather than the white foam you'd get from the NO2 widget)
Aroma - 4.0
The scent isn't as strong as other beers, it kinda keeps to itself. You can almost take out notes of the coffee in the nose though.
Mouthfeel - 5.0
Smooth, only slightly bubblier than Guinness. Rich and full body comes out even more on the outside of the tongue.
Taste - 5.0
This beer slaps Guinness in the face and calls it a pansy. Strong, but not bitter. The coffee gives a real rich finish.

Among my favorite beers. Great for sipping on a winter evening. Pairs well with a cigar, but even better with my pipe and a blend of cavandish or dark tobacco.
